THE LANDSCAPE

 The First International Hot Air Balloon Festival ever held in Colombia began in 2021, in the geographical heart of Colombia, also known as the "navel" of the country. The location is spectacular and hugs the Banks of Metica River, an area renowned for its sunrises.

In the days leading up to the event, the participating teams visit some of Colombia’s most stunning attractions. Waterfalls, lost canyons and mountain trails provide an excellent setting for rafting, hiking and sampling the country’s gastronomy.

THE EVENT

The Los Llanos International Hot Air Balloon Festival, held on Colombia’s Eastern Plains, is an event which is constantly gaining prestige. In 2023, the second edition will feature twice the number of balloons seen in the first-ever festival. Fifteen teams from Colombia, Spain, France and Portugal will fill the skies with colour and give us the chance to see the gorgeous landscapes offered by the plains from a unique viewpoint.
